I have an existing tax problem. How can you help?

Not2Taxing has helped many clients clean up existing tax problems. We can help on existing audits, tax assessments, liens, collections and current inquiries being made by the IRS or other taxing authorities. We can also help you renegotiate a payment plans to which you have already committed.

Are your offices near me?

Our office is in Boca Raton, Florida, but we can provide our tax services to clients anywhere in the world. Through fax, telephone and e-mail communications we can interact just as though we were sitting across a desk from one another.

I haven’t filed a tax return in several years because I didn’t have the funds to pay my large tax bills. Can you help me?

Certainly. Many people have found themselves in this position. You’re not alone. The first thing we need to do is sit down and collect all your income and expense information for the past several years. Then we will prepare the required returns and negotiate a settlement for you with the IRS. You may even be able to pay off your tax debt on an installment basis.

The IRS has notified me that I am to be audited. Frankly I’m intimidated by these people. What can you do to help me?

Not2Taxing can act as your intermediary and represent you before the IRS. It is not even required that you be present during the audit. That’s the law.

If I am audited what will the IRS want to see?

The IRS will specify the items on your return that they want to review. The IRS may also want to examine records and receipts relating to the specific areas being examined.

What does the IRS usually look for?

Primarily the IRS tries to find hidden income. This is standard regardless of the items being examined. Not2Taxing can help you prepare for this.

What happens if I mislaid all my financial records and receipts?

The IRS allows a reconstruction of your income and expenses based on your economic situation. That is, what you could reasonably have been assumed to earn and expense in your situation. Not2Taxing can help you recreate your records based on industry standards.

What if the IRS disallows some of the deductions I’ve taken?

If the disallowances are not warranted, Not2Taxing can either ask for a review by the IRS group supervisor or appeal the findings.

What if I owe money after the audit and don’t have the funds to pay?

Of course the IRS would like you to pay right away, and if you have the money you should pay to avoid interest, penalties and collection procedures. But if you can’t pay the additional tax, Not2Taxing can help you negotiate a monthly payment agreement with the IRS.

My former spouse ‘Shifty Louie’ ran up a huge tax bill. Now we’re separated and the IRS wants me to pay. What can I do?

The Tax Code has regulations regarding innocent spouses. An innocent spouse is defined as someone who, as a result of filing a joint return, is not liable for the taxes. Not2Taxing can help you eliminate such taxes caused by a former spouse.

I think I need help on my taxes but I’m not sure. How much will it cost me to consult with someone at your firm regarding my situation?

All initial interviews are free of charge. Initial consultations usually take anywhere from fifteen minutes to one hour. During that time we will assess what your situation is and give you an estimate of what our services will cost you and how much we think we can save you on your taxes.

My business is doing pretty well. It’s been profitable since we opened our doors. What would I want with some one coming in from outside and giving me advice about my business? Aren’t consultants those guys who travel more than fifty miles to tell you what you already knew in the first place?

First off, there are consultants and then there are strategic planners. We consider ourselves among the latter. We would be the first to admit that you know more about your business than we could ever hope to know. What we bring to the table is a fresh and objective perspective. The fact that your business is booming today does not mean that it will continue to boom tomorrow. We are not looking for long-term churn-out-reports projects. We have enough work on our plate already, thank you. What we can do is sit with you for a few hours and help you focus on areas where improvements in your business can be made over the long haul or that are needed immediately to prevent a sudden deterioration in your market position. Our focus is to help clients become more profitable and stay ahead of their competition. Sometime that requires a strictly outside perspective of what’s going on inside your business. It’s not rocket science but the results can be awesome. And our consulting rates are very reasonable. You should give us a try.
